Powerful praying means when you pray things change. Here’s five ways you can to plug into power!
1 – Pray Powerful Prayers
Powerful people pray powerful prayers that change the world around them. James chapter five tells us Elijah prayed it would not rain and it didn’t and it makes a point to say that he was a man just like us. You can pray powerful prayers that make a difference. Don’t be afraid to ask God for His best and highest. Pray often. Pray powerful.
2 – Pray Powerful Declarations
Powerful people make powerful declarations about their life and their loved ones. Powerful declarations are truth from the Word of God. Truth has power over the facts. In the book of Acts in the New Testament, chapter three verse six Paul looked intently at the crippled beggar and declared, “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk” and he did!
3 – Hang Out With Powerful People
The number one, most powerful person you need to hang out with is the Holy Spirit. He is the Spirit of truth, He is your counselor, He is your guide, He is your comforter, He is the power! Acts 1:8 tells us that when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, power comes with Him, because He is the power. Go to a church that believes in the power. Have friends that walk in the power. The power of the people you hang out with transfers to you.
4 – Memorize Powerful Scriptures
Memorizing powerful scriptures gets your thinking and believing in line with God. Your mind is a battlefield and you are the general that calls the shots on that battlefield. Put powerful scriptures on 3 by 5 cards and when negative, powerless thoughts attack, pull the card out of your pocket and being to say it and memorize it. That’s how you short circuit negative thoughts that pull you down. You go where your thoughts lead. Give your thoughts a new destination called Powerful Living by memorizing powerful scriptures.
5 – Stay the Course
Dereck Prince said in his book Blessing or Curse, that a positive and powerful confession is when you say the word of God until what it promises replaces what you have. A positive confession does not deny the facts, but it does deny the facts a place of influence. Say something good, or don’t say anything at all. Say something good and keep saying it until it comes true.
Plug into the power today and you have the power to transform your life!
